I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again.

Alex CF is one of the most underrated musicians in underground music. Long after his initial project Fall of Efrafa, he builds upon his 'cello driven atmospheric crust' with Morrow. Arguably heavier, even doomy at times, forlorn melodies and emotive vocals are propelled by empowered d-beats. Morrow is the logical next step in one of heavy music's most unique concepts.
